New Year Greetings!

Another year is passing by and a New Year is dawning on us. And as we reflect in the calmness of the twilight between the two years, we have a lot to be thankful about.
Because of enduring…
…SICKNESS that taught us t0 trust God more deeply
…LONELINESS that taught us to be contemplative of God’s abiding and provident love
…FAILURES that taught us life’s lessons.
Also because of experiencing…
…HEALINGS that taught us to be thankful and humble
…FELLOWSHIPS that strengthened our hope in human goodness
…SUCCESSES that helped us to believe that human efforts have their worth to bring changes in life.
New Year…
…instills fresh hope of better tomorrows
…alerts us to be watchful and diligent
…exhorts us to be kind and accommodating
…challenges us to be truthful and just
…warns us to be forgiving and reconciling.
Let us step into the New Year with confidence, because the Lord who created the heaven and earth watches over our lives. Our God never slumbers nor sleeps. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time on and evermore (Psalm 121:8).

We Wish You a Happy and Blessed New Year

Christmas is God’s reprogramming of human hearts!

Christmas is God’s reprogramming of human hearts!

When I visited a parishioner who was recuperating from an open heart surgery, he said humorously that he now has a pure heart with all the impurities removed. And he alluded to the “beatitudes” and said, “Since I have a pure heart I can see God” (Matthew 5:8). Yes, Christmas is the Creator’s decision to reprogram human hearts to its originally intended purity. When the human hearts lost the vision of
God (Psalm 14:1) and all its inclination was only to evil (Gen 6:5), God Almighty decides to “firewall human heart from all the possible “viral attacks” that corrupt it. Christmas is the launch of that eternal firewall that grants one the unfading privilege of sonship and daughtership of God. Jesus is that mysterious incarnation who draws all to God through him (John 12:32). Christmas is a search of God for those people whose hearts are open to God. “The Lord looks down from heaven on humankind to see if there are any who are wise who seek after God (Ps 14:2). The recovery software that our Lord’s incarnation brings to us is nothing but the love of God. Christmas drenches us in the rain of divine love so that we may have the power to love the Lord our God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37).
We wish you a meaningful celebration of X’mas that in fact imbibes the true spirit of Incarnation.
Merry and Blessed Christmas!
